Never did I think walking my dog in the forest I would find a colourful gem (or stone) that would spark an idea. Amongst the mud and leaves in the forest something bright catches my eye, I have an odd habit of picking random stuff up off the ground, one mans trash is another girls treasure am I right? I pick up this brightly coloured object off the ground and find its a painted stone, I turn it over to find a message written on the back " post a picture- then keep it or re hide!" with a facebook and Instagram handle. I put the stone in my pocket and carried on with my walk, when I got home I pulled out the stone I was over the moon with what I had found and was itching to know more, I stalked the hell out of the Instagram and facebook handles to which I found this in there bio "Game of Stones is a non-profit community group for all ages, based in Enfield, UK.

We decorate stones and leave them across the world for people to find them. We plan to hide our decorated stones in different locations for people to discover. We will post pictures of the stones we are going to hide before we do so, so you know what to look out for! If you find one, you can either; Keep it, Swap it (With another stone you have painted yourself), Relocate it (Hide it for someone else to find). It would be wonderful for you to share photos of your finds on this page, it would also be great if you could tell us a rough location of where you have found/hidden the stone so we could possibly track its journey and see how many different locations it has travelled to." I was instantly in love with the idea, I scrolled endlessly through there instagram determined to find out when the stone that I had found was hidden (November). That same week I was off to an event called #wonderfulWednesday I was unsure on what to expect at this event my friend was running it so I went to support them, I soon found out that the event was all about spreading kindness. The idea is that a group of us meet up once a month and do something kind for strangers doesn't have to cost a lot, just something small, during the event we were asked to share any ideas we had, so I shared the one about the stone and said we could leave little positive messages around, and they don't have to be on stones they could be written on anything for someone to keep and it may even inspire them to share and spread kindness. I left the event inspired and full of pizza. Ready to spread kindness!
