Clubbing for a cause with Southampton City Mission
This Project was one of the most exciting projects I have done creating an event for charity that helped the homeless. From research, it was found that the younger generation worries most about homelessness. It was important that the event incorporated the younger generation as there aren't many charity events aimed at the younger generation. Doing primary research it was found that people are most likely to donate if they received a small reward. Deciding to put on an event in a nightclub that would appeal to the younger generation. people would receive free entrance in exchange for an old item of clothing or tinned food, which was then donated to the charity. To build up hype around this event a catchy tagline was used #clubbingforacause and the event was published in two local newspapers and one local radio station.
